A 14-year-old single girl with severe dysmenorrhea and a double-horned uterus
A 14-year-old, single girl, who was referred for severe dysmenorrhea and a two-horned uterus. Menarche was 2 years ago and on two-dimensional and four-dimensional ultrasound showed a unicorn uterus with a large lateral horn. The lateral horn is located on the right side of the pelvis and contains clots and fibrin and was seen as a heterogeneous mass of 25 x 30 mm. Due to the appearance of the uterus, Bicorn uterus with obstruction of the right horn is less likely. In the right adnexa of the image, a heterogeneous mass measuring 21 x 30 mm was seen, indicating hematosalpinx. On MRI of the Didelphis uterus, the right and left uterus are separated with a 5.5-mm septum in the fundus. Two complete cervixes are also seen, but a complete vaginal examination and septa rejection in this area could not be performed with MRI.
