Dr. Mohammad Ali  Sahraiean , Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of the University, visited the Valiasr Reproductive Health Research Center on Tuesday, October 17, 2020.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hossein Hossein Rashidi, President and faculty members of Dr. Zafari Zanganeh Center , Dr. Naghi Jafarabadi, Dr. Ghaemi and Dr. Heidari . 

Dr. Rashidi explained about the center's activities and said: conducting research activities related to the priority of reproductive health, population policies, women's empowerment, maternal and infant health, cancer prevention and treatment, infertility diagnosis and treatment, menopausal health, elderly health and so on. Overall, improving the health of men and women is one of the most important strategic plans of this complex .

He added: "This center has a history of conducting clinical trials in pharmaceutical studies, launching pre-implantation diagnosis techniques, specialized retinitis pigmentosa clinic, developing specialized genetic counseling software, collecting and analyzing thalassemia national program data and joint national and international studies." . Upgrading the scientific level of genetic counselors working in the family physician project and having a well-equipped reproductive genetics and IVF laboratory are other medical-educational and research facilities of this complex . 

Dr. Rashidi continued: "This group has been working in the field of specialized training in the fields of fellowship, research doctorate, postdoctoral training, short-term training and improving the quality of education in various medical levels and as the first center in admission and treatment of oncofertility patients (fertility preservation)." In cancer patients) with more than 350 patients admitted, is a pioneer in the country .

During this meeting, the issues and problems of faculty members and experts were discussed .

In the end, Dr.  Sahraiean , the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of the University, after summarizing the obstacles in front of the center and promising to help eliminate them, said: "The history of this center shows that it is one of the most successful centers and the university has a good view of it." The growth of the complex has been such that it has become one of the independent centers and has a good history; Of course, this center needs more financial support .
